TABLE OF CONTENTS
Summary
The level of need feature allows DSL's to RAG rate pupil profiles who may be under child in need/child protection. This is so you can easily identify and locate the profiles with this specific level of need. Applying a level of need to profiles can help with reporting and awareness of pupils who are high risk.
How to enable the level of need
You will need Account Admin and DSL permissions to enable and apply the level of need.
- Go to the Admin tab
- Click Profiles
- Click edit under Level of Need

4. Switch the toggle to On to enable the level of need
Note: Once enabled, all profiles will be level 1 by default. You will need to apply a higher level on a case by case basis

5. The definitions for each level can be customised to suit your school/trust policies. Level 1 will always be green or low level, level 4 will always be red or high level. Amend as needed and click Save to confirm changes.

6. There is an option to hide the level 1 indicator from the profile dashboard. This will hide the green level 1 indicator, not the profile

As seen below, levels 2-4 are highlighted with a colour and the student without an indicator is a level 1

How to add a level of need to a profile
Locate the profile you would like to update.
1. The level of need icons can be found on the top right of a profile. Click on the level you would like to apply
2. Enter the reason for the level change in the pop-up and click Yes, change level of need to save changes

3. This will be updated on the profile
