TABLE OF CONTENTS

Summary

The origin of concern helps identify where a concern originated. This could be a teacher, parent, police or other community members alerting staff to a safeguarding issue.

There is a system default list available, but you might want to create some specific to your school/area.

How to add origins of concern

You will need Account Admin permissions to manage the origin of concern.

  1. Go to the Admin tab
  2. Click Concerns
  3. Click edit under Origin of Concern

4. There are two lists: Local Origins of Concern and a System Default List.
To add to the local list, click Add New Origin

5.  In the pop-up, enter the name of the origin you want to add, for example Childminder. Click Save the origin to add it successfully.

6. Origins cannot be deleted, but you can edit them by clicking on the pencil icon.

7.  The pop-up will allow you to amend the existing origin name. Click Save the origin to confirm and save changes.

8. Now you have created a list of origins, staff will be able to select them from the drop down menu when reporting a concern.
